General Description:
Cobalt Hydroxide is usually rose red monoclinic or tetragonal crystal. It is insoluble in water, slightly amphiphilic, difficult to dissolve in strong bases, but soluble in acid and ammonium salt solutions. The density is about 3.6g/cm3. It has a melting point of 1100-1200°C and is an amphoteric hydroxide.
 
Application:
In chemical production, it is used to produce cobalt salts, cobalt-containing catalysts, and electrolytic methods to produce hydrogen peroxide decomposition agents.
It also can be used as a paint drier in the coating industry. And the glass industry is used as colorant.
